Re: ProFollica

ProFollica FAQs

Everyone is afraid of permanently losing their hair. Not only is it known as one's "crowning glory;" hair is also a source of self-esteem for most of people. Hair also protects the head naturally, from the dirt and heat of the sun. That is why when hair strands start to diminish, especially on older ones, remedies that can possibly restrain the forthcoming effects are sought.

Hair loss can take place due to many factors. As seen on Profollica.com, some hair loss causes include medical treatment, certain diseases or illnesses, medications' side effects, natural aging, inadequate intake of Zinc, excess intake of vitamin A or E, and mechanical damage; perming, coloring, bleaching, using of curling iron and corn rows are some of the mechanical damages that can dry and weaken the hair. But the most common and successful factor in hair loss is dehydrotestosterone hormone or DHT. This hormone is naturally produced by a human's body; its general purpose is to develop the traits of men such as mustache, deep voice, and large muscles. If DHT is excessively produced, it will accumulate itself in DHT receptors around hair follicles, killing both hair and hair follicles. After that hormonal attack, follicles will not be able to produce any strand of hair anymore. Women have lesser DHT than men, so that means opposite sexes do not experience the same hair loss effect. Men are more likely to go bald, while women just experience thinning of hair.

Treatments of different types can manage hair loss: surgery (such as grafting and stretching), medicine (like Minoxidil™ and Propecia™), and topical applications (such as ProFollica™ system). Although medical experts suggest surgery as the best and most effective way to re-grow hair, not all men are financially and mentally capable of undergoing so. Medicines such as Minoxidil™ and Propecia™ are also known effective hair growers. But despite their success in re-growing hair, they are still not considered advantageous for they are deemed by some to have harmful side effects --increased heart rate and impotence, to name a few. Thus, the usage of the said treatments is seen to possibly cause death to men with high blood pressure or heart attack.

Among all the treatments for hair loss, topical application is viewed as the most convenient and the most natural. One good example of it is ProFollica™ system. According to Profollica.com, this kind of product needs no prescription, is safe for both sexes' use, has no harmful side effects, is easy to apply, is proven effective, and most importantly, is inexpensive compared to any other remedy.

Prescriptions, basically, are required for some medicines and supplements due to the side effects that it can render, especially if inadequately taken or used. Remedies like ProFollica™ system require no prescriptions because it only has natural formula and ingredients such as: Kigelia Afrcana Extract, which blocks the enzyme; Gingko Biloba Extract, which acts as stimulant of microcirculation in the scalp; Cinnamomumb Zeylanicum Extract, which moisten DHT and bacteria in the scalp; Salvia Sclarea Extract, which stimulates and attaches to DHT; and Panax Ginseng Root Extract, which stimulates the scalp for hair depth increase.

The ProFollica™ system also has three products-- shampoo, gel, and nutritional supplement-- that give chances for hair follicles to re-grow in the most natural way. The shampoo cleans and rejuvenates the hair and scalp. It produces a foam that helps the hair follicle be cleaned easily from dirt and natural body oil substances. The gel, on the other hand, stimulates the follicles to re-grow hair and adds moisture to the hair and scalp as well. Both shampoo and gel are formulated to reduce the number of DHT produced around the hair follicles. Meanwhile, the right vitamins and minerals are supplied by the third product in the system, the nutritional supplement, ensuring the newly grown hair strands are healthier than those before.

In using the Profollica shampoo for the first few days, it is natural for a person to see lots of fallen hair after bath or while combing the hair. This must not be a source of worry. As early as three weeks of usage, number of falling hairs will reduce. Within six months, a better looking hair will surprise the product user.

To win the trust of possible buyers, new commodities such as ProFollica™ system offer a money-back guarantee. This is considered a good offer since consumers nowadays are very clever in choosing a commodity to purchase and at the same time, a lot of products claim to be the best in delivering the desired services; but when bought and tried, it appears that their claims are false after, hence leaving the consumer unsatisfied and cynical to any other product being introduced to them. When it comes to Profollica, meanwhile, if the person who purchased and used the product is not happy with the results he was told to expect after some months, he can have surely his money back.

This kind of natural products may cost from $89 up to $350. Although it is quite high in price, it does cost definitely lesser than surgeries. Plus, the advantage of using a natural product and a system at that is really worth the trouble.

If one cannot take anymore seeing his hair getting thinner and thinner, he might as well think about undergoing hair loss treatment. But he must consider a number of things before doing so. Price, convenience and efficiency are just some.

Re: ProFollica

Prevent Hair Loss the Right Way with Natural Nutrients

Are you losing your head because you're losing your hair? Although it's quite normal to lose a few strands daily, excessive hair fall can lead to bald patches and ultimately, baldness. This is especially true for men who, unlike women, are prone to baldness due to their genetic makeup. Testosterone, the same hormone which makes you feel manly and all, is the culprit. Once this hormone comes in contact with your hair follicles, it's converted into DHT, or dihydrotestosterone, which shrinks your strands and thickens your scalp. This reduces blood flow to your scalp and makes your strands unhealthy, thus, promoting hair loss.

Fortunately, not all men are doomed to this fate. According to Profollica.com, a well-known scientists have found out that men with reduced levels of DHT in their scalps experience minimal hair fall. This does not mean that they are less manly since they still produce normal testosterone levels. What this means is that they have DHT blockers in their scalps to prevent shrinking strands and thickening scalps. So before contemplating a sex change, picking out your future toupee, or considering follicle transplants, consider hair care systems with natural nutrients and vitamins which act as DHT blockers to prevent hair loss.

Nutrients and Food Sources that Prevent Hair Loss

1. Zinc

One of the most popular hair loss prevention minerals is zinc. Studies show that severe deficiency of this mineral leads to baldness and other scalp problems. People with reduced or less-than-normal amounts of zinc in their bodies usually experience excessive hair fall and premature graying. This mineral is also valuable for minimizing the effects of stress which promotes excess DHT production.

As it's, eating zinc-rich foods or taking a mineral supplement can effectively minimize hair fall. Some food sources rich in zinc include the following: wheat germ, egg yolks, spinach, whole grains, mushrooms, and red meat. However, care should be taken in eating these or taking supplements. A daily does of zinc over 12 mg can cause decreased iron absorption and anemia.

2. Biotin

A component of the B complex group, Biotin is often referred to a Vitamin H or hair vitamin. This is because it promotes hair growth while preventing loss. It metabolizes fatty acids which fuel the growth and repair of hair follicles, thus reducing breakages caused by DHT. It also staggers the premature aging of the hair strands by keeping them moisturized and nourished. Excellent sources of Biotin are cooked eggs, milk, liver, kidney, and yeast. Although no exact amount is pegged as the ideal dose of Biotin, its sources are high in fat which can cause other health problems.

3. Protein

Hair is almost 90% protein so it makes sense that this nutrient is among the top hair regrowth agent. Shampoos and conditioners list protein, or at least its derivatives, as their main ingredients. But protein does not boost hair regrowth, it only strengthens the strands to help them endure combing, styling, and heat exposure -- added stress which aggravates DHT production. With its ability to increase strand thickness by as much as 45%, protein, in regulated amounts, is the most common solution to thinning hair. Common sources for this nutrient include red meat, legumes, milk, and eggs.

As good as protein is for your hair, it needs to be taken carefully because excesses of this nutrient promotes fat intake and dehydration. Increased fatty acids can boost oil production in the scalp which can block and weaken hair follicles. Likewise, dehydration will cause hair to become brittle and dry.

4. Vitamin A

Retinol, carotenoid, or carotene -- this terms only mean one thing: Vitamin A. Unknown to many, this popular vision enhancer is also our hair's best friend. It's an antioxidant that promotes healthy sebum production in your scalp. It allows your hair to produce just the right amount of oil to moisturize the strands but not too much that it blocks the pores in your scalp. Normal sebum production is equal to less chances of DHT damage. Sources for this vitamin includes yellow or orange vegetables, leafy greens, milk, fish oils, and meat. However, doses exceeding the daily requirement of 2,500 IU can be toxic and cause health problems.

5. Vitamin E

Since blood circulation aids in hair growth, an antioxidant which promotes this is necessary. Vitamin E works well for this even though it's more popular as an anti-aging nutrient. Aside from promoting healthy blood flow, Vitamin E also reduces the appearance of graying hair , another effect of DHT, hence, making you look young and your hair, thick. Cold-processed vegetable oils, soybeans, leafy greens, dried beans, and nuts are excellent sources of this nutrient. As good as it's, you should be careful in consuming E-rich foods since it can increase high blood pressure. The recommended dose for this one is 400 IU.

Growing Your Hair Safely Using Natural Hair Supplements

Although it's good to try to prevent or treat hair loss by eating naturally healthy food, there is always the danger of consuming too much vitamin and mineral sources. Instead of alleviating your less-than-hairy problem, you might end up with more dangerous side effects. This is the problem spotted by makers of hair care systems. Instead of risking your hair further, you can opt to use specially-formulated hair supplements.

One of the leading hair treatment systems today is Profollica which is made from all-natural DHT blockers. Its website, Profollica.com lists natural ingredients like Kigelia Africana, Salvia Sclarea, and Panax Ginseng Root extracts -- proven effective hair loss retardants -- as its main ingredients. These herbs are effective in maintaining healthy hair and preventing its loss. It provides the needed nutrients like vitamins and minerals and other organic ingredients which further improve hair regrowth. By using a natural hair loss treatment system like Profollica, you get the benefit of healthy strands minus the side effects.

Re: ProFollica

Hair Loss Treatments

Hair has long been considered as a person's crowning glory. Just like clothing, hair is usually styled according to one's personality or preference. But what if the hair starts to be sensitive? For example, more and more hair strands are left on the bathroom floor after shampooing or combing. Naturally a person worries, fearing that baldness is fast approaching.

Whether hair loss is caused by an illness, aging, or heredity, the good news is that it can now be reversed. The advancement of technology has made it possible to provide treatments and medications for hair loss. A person suffering from the said condition has the option to wear a wig of different styles, undergo surgery such as grafting and stretching, take doctor's prescribed medicines like Finasteride, or apply topical products such as ProFollica™ to prevent or halt hair loss.

Wearing a wig is the easiest way to hide the condition of hair loss. Before, hair pins alone were used to adjoin the wig to the remaining natural hair. Wigs then were loose enough to be easily detached from the user's head; today, wigs can be mistaken as real, natural hair. The production and quality of wigs have been improved and are still improving over the years. Nevertheless, the feeling of the wearing an unreal hair still has an unpleasant effect on the confidence of the person. The perception within that person is deemed not be the same as he was having his real hair.

Another option for hair loss is through surgical treatment, which can be classified into two kinds: grafting or stretching of the scalp. In grafting, a small portion of the scalp that is still able to grow hair will be cut off and transplanted to the areas wherein the patient's hairline lies. On the other hand, in stretching, the totally bald portion of the scalp is cut off permanently and the area where hair strands still grow is stretched to cover the cut bald portion. This, however, is only good for men as women experience only thinning of hair and not slight baldness. Recovery period for these surgery treatments take a long time. Usually, the dermatologist or doctor will recommend what is best for the patient for these surgeries cannot be performed to everyone.

Most of the patients who underwent the aforementioned hair loss surgeries grew their hair back. Surgery as a type of hair loss treatment has been noted a success, but still, this type of treatment is generally known to be expensive. From the doctor's services to the medicines one needs to take throughout the surgical treatment, it definitely costs a lot.

Other treatment that may not require high expenditure as much as surgery is oral medication, usually in the form of pills. Some of the oral medicines on the market require prescription while some could be bought over the counter. Pills like finasteride needs a prescription. This kind of pills basically converts and reverses the hormone that stops hair growth, but can only be taken by men. The said pill is prohibited to women because of its side effects; in fact, birth defect is one main side effect of this drug as it can transpose through the skin of the current or future fetus inside the womb. On the other hand, there are also some pills such as ProFollica™ Pills that do the same treatment for hair loss but has no side effect and could be bought, sans any prescription. This kind of pills are all natural and can be taken by both men and women. Plus, pills like Profollica causes no harmful effects but thicker and growing hair.

The most common and simpler way of medicating hair loss is by using topical applications. The products could be a shampoo, conditioner, gel, or oil that needs to be applied to the scalp to stimulate hair growth. Each can be bought in drugstores or in grocery stores and are safe for both by men and women.

Meanwhile, there are some companies that offer a hair growing system, which composes of two or more products. A hair growing system like ProFollica™ usually has shampoo, gel, and pills as well--all are formulated to work together to halt hair loss and start hair growth again. The shampoo is used as any ordinary shampoo; it cleans the scalp, making dirt and body's natural secreted oil easy to rinse out. The gel is next applied to the hair and scalp, stimulating hair growth by revitalizing hair follicles. An all-natural hair growing system such as ProFollica™ system starts to work just days after its first usage. One can expect fast hair improvement from the system, unlike in hair loss surgery that makes the patient wait for scalp recovery first, before seeing his hair grow back.

Every approach to treating hair loss has its own advantages and disadvantages. What one needs to consider in selecting the most appropriate medication, aside from the doctor's suggestions, are convenience, cost, efficacy, short and long-term impacts to their lives, and maintenance. It does not mean that as people experience hair loss, they are also needing to undergo the same exact treatment. It is important to base your conclusion to your desired outcome.

Re: ProFollica

Hair Care Basics

Hair grooming is, and should be, part of our daily prepping and cleaning ritual. Hair care is the term basically used as part of the cosmetology and hygiene methods that involve our hair. While some people equate the term to a regular visit to a professional hair expert or stylist, basic hair care simply involves proper washing and treatment of our hair and scalp.

The Essentials of Hair Care

Proper grooming is necessary to achieve healthy and beautiful hair. Although there are generic steps or activities that allow one to care for the hair, hair care is essentially governed by an essential element -- our hair type. As you see, hair care rituals and treatments differ since it may vary according to our hair type. For instance, a certain shampoo or a conditioner product only works or gives best results to a particular hair type. As such, it is always best to choose and use hair products that work best with our respective hair types.

Aside from regular washing, we can maintain the healthy streaks of our hair by means of adequate daily diet. It is true that what we eat shows in our well-being, and it includes the condition of our hair. If our daily diet is poor, especially in iron, it can eventually lead to Iron Deficiency Anemia that can in turn result to hair loss. To keep our hair healthy and beautiful, fresh, Vitamin C-enriched vegetables and fruits should be the main components of our diet to enable our bodies to absorb enough iron.

Cutting our hair is also one of the basic ways to keep our hair clean and well-groomed. Regular haircut or trimming also helps keep our scalp clean. Haircut, however, is the least preferred hair care treatment of women, especially those who have long hair, for it does not really make our hair grow faster and strong.

Other Hair Care Rituals

Detangling the hair is among the best ways to organize and keep our hair well-groomed. This hair care habit aims to eliminate snarles, tangles, knots, as well as remove the hairs that have fallen off naturally. According to beauty experts however, it is not recommended to detangle our hair when it is wet because it can excessively stress our hair if it is fully stretched and swelled.

In addition, the type of hair tools is among the things to consider when choosing the right detangling tools for our hair. The main tools required from this simple hair care treatment are brushes and combs. Take note, however, that it is best not to share or lend our detangling tools with other people for hygienic purposes.

Meanwhile, conditioner is a fine hair volume enhancer that is commonly used during the washing or shampooing process. The use of conditioner actually helps you detangle your hair easier. Although there are numerous effective hair conditioning products in the market, there are some products that contain silicone compound ingredients that tend to coat the hair, thus making our hair actually look more dull and lifeless. As mentioned earlier, the choice of conditioning products depends on the hair type and condition. When we use products that best suit our hair type, our hair will look shinier, and tangles will be easier to manage.

Dyeing, meanwhile, is also a preferred hair care treatment by some individuals, particularly women. It involves the application of hair coloring products that contain chemical dyes with herbs such as indigo and henna. Aside from hair dye products, spray-in hair colors are also among the preferred products of individuals who want to dye their hair. However, dyeing is not really considered as hair care ritual by most hair experts since the chemicals contained in hair coloring products can alter or damage our hair structure. Regular dyeing of hair can eventually result to hair breakage and dryness.

Damaging Effects of Some Hair Care Treatments

Blow-drying the hair is really a matter of preference. Most women do not have enough time to style their hair so they resort to using a blowdryer. It is given that blow-drying is the most convenient way to style and manage the hair for it further adds volume and style. But setting aside its convenience, blow-drying poses harm and damage to our hair, as it makes the hair very brittle and dry.

The proper way of blow-drying is to do it on towel-dried hair. It is also important to keep the dryer at least six inches away from the hair so as not to overexpose the scalp to heat. In addition, never blow dry the hair completely, for it is best to leave our hair slightly damp.

As stated beforehand, hair coloring is not a highly recommended treatment to our hair. Although hair coloring further enhances the style and look of our hair, the treatment can furtively cause complications to the overall condition of our hair.

Complications brought by hair coloring treatments include dryness of scalp and hair loss, as well as hair strand breakage. To avoid these hair complications, it is best not to apply any color chemical on the hair. If hair coloring is necessary, let a professional hair stylist do the treatment for they know which coloring products best suit our hair, and in addition, they are trained on how to do the treatment properly and effectively.

Furthermore, permanent hair wave or perming also has damaging effects to our hair. With the harsh components of the chemicals used in the treatment, it is best to minimize its contact with the skin. It is a good thing that modern chemicals used in today's perming treatments are less irritating on the skin.

Poorly administered permanent waves basically result to hair breakage and damage. Instead of making our hair flexible and elastic, the chemicals used in perming treatments can make our hair fragile and brittle. Once the hair is damaged due to regular perming treatments, even combing or detangling the hair will give little or no soothing effect at all to the hair. With the damaging effects of perming chemicals to our hair, it is advisable to avoid this type of hair treatment. However, if perming is necessary, better let an experienced hair stylist conduct the curling treatment.

For a safe, gentle approach to hair loss treatment due to damage, try a natural hair loss remedy such as ProFollica™. This complete system has natural ingredients, so there are no harsh chemicals and it is safe for anyone to use for treatment of their hair loss.

Re: ProFollica

Causes of Hair Loss

Hair loss is one of the body changes that most people fear of. Just like menopause, hair loss can easily divulge a person's age. But unlike menopause, which can be kept from everyone but yourself, hair loss can be detected or seen by almost everybody. At about the age of 35, the effect of hair loss can already be seen in men -- either their hair line recedes or a "dome" begins to appear at the back of their hair; some even experience both. In Profollica.com, it is stated that 65% of all men are suffering from the effects of hair loss and a majority of them have Male Pattern Baldness. Women, on the other hand, are affected by hair loss in a different way. Starting at the age of 30, their hair gradually thins out. By the age of 50 or shortly after their menopausal stage, the scalp becomes more noticeable because of lessened hair strands all over the head.

Different factors may cause hair loss. Aging and genetics are only a few. But in men, basically, it is caused by dehydrotestosterone hormone, or DHT. This hormone's chief purpose is to develop the traits of men such as deep voice, larger muscles, and mustache. However, it also develops Male Pattern Baldness. What this hormone does is it accumulates and develops in the DHT receptors found around the follicles of hair. As the hormone has established itself, it will eventually kill the hair as well as the follicle, making it hopeless for hair to grow back. According to Profollica.com, DHT production in women is as not as high as in men, hence, women do not suffer from the same radical hair loss as men do.

DHT increases as men age, killing more and more of the hair follicles. Excess production of DHT can lead to baldness. Although every person has this hormone, there are some who only produce enough amount of DHT. Fortunately, they are the ones not suffering from extreme hair loss.

Other factors for hair loss in both men and women are:

1. Disease or illness - Losing hair could be a sign of being unhealthy. Illnesses such as systemic lupus erythematosis and syphilis, or thyroid disorder show hair loss as a symptom. Chronic kidney dysfunction may also cause lots of hair to fall as it makes them unhealthy, dry, and breakable.

2. Side effects of medications - Drugs that contain lithium, beta-blockers, warfarin, heparin, amphetamines, and levodopa (Atamet, Larodopa, Sinemet) can cause numerous hair to fall off. In addition, some medications being used in treating cancer like doxorubicin can cause rapid but temporary hair loss.

3. Hormones - Different kinds of hormones compromise the human system and an imbalanced production of those could affect the normal growth of hair. An example of this is women's menstrual cycle. Hormonal changes take place in the ovulation period that could cause some hair to lose, so as thyroid and pituitary disorders.

4. Zinc deficiency - Along with diarrhea and eczema, hair loss appears to be a symptom if one has inadequate intake or if the body poorly absorbs zinc.

5. Hair abuses - Too much treatments to hair such as coloring, perming, bleaching, corn rows, and usage of curling irons can wear out and eventually kill the hair. Even excessive use of comb and strong shampoo products can add up to hair loss. Combing the hair for about a hundred times will not really make it healthy; rather, it will lessen the strength of the hair and make it brittle. Shampoos' strong chemicals, on the other hand, can dry the hair up.

6. Giving birth - About a month after a woman gives birth, some of her hair strands have the tendency to fall off easily. Hair strands that fall off are usually from one portion of the head, leaving moon crater-like hair. The falling off of hair in this instance actually does not lead to baldness and it is not permanent, though the recovery period will take up to a year.

These and some other factors cause hair loss. There may be a lot, but the good thing is, there are also quite a lot with regard to medical options of treating this condition. Medicating hair loss can be done by undergoing surgical treatments like scalp grafting, taking oral medications like finasteride pills, or using topical applications such as ProFollica™.

Each treatment is different in approaches, processes, requirements, and applications. For example, hair loss surgery is a proven effective method and so are pills. But both can only be applied to and taken by men. The surgery is usually recommendable to severe cases of hair loss, while pills like finasteride can cause harmful effects to women. Perhaps, the most convenient way to address hair loss treatment, for both men and women, is through applying topical products. This kind of remedy, like ProFollica™, usually comes in a system. This system has natural ingredients, which make it safe for anyone's usage with hair loss condition. It is up to the person and to the doctor, if he is to consult one, what treatment he'll rather or willingly try.

Old beliefs, such as cap wearing bringing about hair loss or combing the hair more than one hundred times will make it healthier, have long been proven untrue. With some tips and causes given above, indeed, knowing the right causes will make one smart on choosing the right solutions.
