Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I'm in my late 20's and I just recently began practicing both Karate and Kendo (Japanese fencing). Both require a hell of a lot of strength and endurance but were I'm my weakest is in my wrists and forearms. Can anyone here suggest some techniques that will build up both strength and quickness? Thanks! |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Re: wrist and forearm work outs for Karate i take dumbbells in both hands (at my sides, standing upright) and let them hang down on my fingertips right before i would drop them then curl up like i was flexing my forearm, i love that one. also sit down on a bench with the bench press bar and with ur tops of hands on ur knees let bar lower till about to slip out of hand then curl back up like ur flexing ur forearms. those are just a couple but anything that is a gripping/pulling excercise will i ncrease strength, stay away from wrist wraps until ur lifting some serious weight. i only use my wrist wraps on the reps that would normally slip right out of my hand... c |
