Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hmmmm... well actually your body will continue to burn calories even after a workout, your body will still have to work harder in the heat to burn calories even if your not doing anything. hope this information is meaningful and useful. the best time to get in the sauna is actually when your body is burning the most calories not doing anything be careful in all training its very dangerous. dont take things for granite. find out when your body burns most calories not doing anything and take a quick sauna during that time period. folow rules and guidelines of the sauna your using. BE CAREFUL! |

| New Member ![]() | A better way to burn fat would be to do the exact oposite of sit in a sauna. Whenever you shiver, your body burns tons of energy up and eventually dips into your fat reserves if your calorie and carbohydrate reserves for the day are depleted. If you have a beach nearby, I suggest wearing a teeshirt and shorts and going there every morning, getting in the freezing water (with your clothes on) just for a minute, and then go back onto the beach to do situps for a half hour. Because of the water and the wind, you'll shiver like crazy, but you should be safe from hypothermea. The ab workout will help to compound the energy burn. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: Sauna- bad or good? I'm not sure about any effect on fat loss. My guess would be that any effect would be very minimal. However, for recovery the sauna is great. But you should do it the day after a workout, or at least several hours after. Doing it immediately after a training session simply enhances the inflammation process that was already started by your training session, which can actually hurt your recovery.
