Beauty's Blog: pre contest 06

Okay.....Well, today is my first day of the 06 contest season. I did legs yesterday, heavy and did cardio right b4 these pics.....so they are kinda bloated. I am putting a few bullets together so you can get to know me, if interested in following my journey to leanness. I plan to 'peak' the first time on May 13, for the RCC in Dallas.

*this is not a contest suit, lol.
*starting weight 150 lbs, 5'10"
*Measurements are 37-27-37
*I will do a hi lo carb diet, prolly 2 low, one high; 3 day cycle for now
*I have a desk job, so I am very lo carb my whole cycle; since I sit on my rear
*I will start out with a Wednesday and a Saturday splurge meal
*I will only have a Wednesday splurge meal this wk and next
*After that I will only do a Saturday splurge meal up until around 5 wks out
*I will log up to 24 mi per wk cardio

*I know how to dial it in. I have competed in fbb prior to Figure. I started competing in 1991 and competed around 12 times as a natural, always winning my class but not the overall until my last two competitions in fbb.

*After finally winning 2 overalls in fbb in 2001, I did not want to get any bigger or go further with it.

*I competed for the first time in Figure in 2004, winning first in tall for both my shows and losing the overall by a point each time.

*I fell in love with figure! I loved the girlie aspect, the suits, make up, nails and the stage portion. The only thing I miss is the routine to music, I was good at that in fbb.

*I feel like I have a big rear end, although I have beautiful symmetry. In the off season, I don't tend to have much definition; but my symmetry still shows thru.

*I believe symmetry is 1/3 of what you have to have to be successful on stage, for bodybuilding OR figure; just that the amount of each varies by the sport. The other two things are muscle to frame and definition.

*My definition doesn't really start to come thru for me until about 6 wks of dieting, then it is almost daily I see a change.

*I hope to compete this year at around 137, which means I have about 13 lbs to lose!

*I love posting the journal, because I hope to provide motivation to anyone who finds it here, plus it gives me an outlet. I live in a place where I am the only person that competes, so I crave the energy and input of other bodybuilders/competitors.


*I hope to relocate someday to a bigger city

*I am not a morning person, so you won't catch me in the gym until the evening UNLESS for some strange reason that is what I needed to 'dial it in.' I only had to do this once.

*I love competing, it is a driving force in my life to always demand a higher standard in everything I do. That is, with the exception of housework!

*I think these pics are somewhat unflattering, but probably how I really look and that I need to see them, as do others, to appreciate fully how I will end up.

*I hope that others will stop in as I go and offer motivation when I need it or call bs on me when they think I need it, lol.

*I am very methodical and regimented about my dieting. I disregard hunger, generally speaking and stay very focused on what has to be accomplished.

*I am very flirtatious and outgoing and opinionated!

*I have 4 sisters and grew up very poor.

*I have two kitties, two puppies and they are our babies.

*I am married to Mr. FB and he used to compete. His last year to compete was in 1990. He won 2 overalls and looked fantastic. I hate him for his fast metabolism.

fattest? bloated? seriously girl you are beautiful! Why are you so hard on yourself??? I think you are amazing

Thanks...when I say 'fattest,' I mean this is me, at my[i] fattest. This is as fat as I get all year. Realistically, when you get down to less than 9% bodyfat, comparitively you feel fat starting out on the diet, at the end of a long winter, lol.
