Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Looking very good overall, although I feel that you will lose some points for quad underdevelopment. Not bashing, just telling it like it is, and if there is a flaw, that's what it is. You have every right to be proud, you have achieved a lot.

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | The funny thing about my quads ( and I will tell you straight up the lighting in these pictures you cannot see my detail at ALL compared to how I really am looking, IMO) is that they look really quite good when I flex them, such as you would to pose for bodybuilding. I can actually see four seperate heads when I flex them. However, with Figure you are flexing them while standing relaxed and mine just won't show very well that way. When I walk across the stage, you can see the seperation but not so much in the quarter turns. And, I am still going to have to get my delts out more as well as get that outer quad flare you are talking about (I think). I do not mind you saying that nor do I feel bashed. Believe me, I know my weakness. I truly lack good input or input of any kind. You see, I live in the hillbilly town where I am the ONLY one that competes. No one to give feedback or advice. Most especially no one qualified. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | ha ha ha:) Well, I think about posts where someone says something like that ('your weak point is .....') and it is definitely a pet peeve of mine. That is not constructive criticism. It is only criticism. Now, don't take me wrong it doesn't hurt my feelings, I don't rolly that way. My point is that as a competitor, if you are trying to 'help,' you give a comment like this: 'I have been training competitors (or in the industry) for XX years and my thought is your weak point that can be improved upon in time for your show in 6 weeks is_____. My suggestions for doing this are______. PM me after your show and I have some thoughts on what you can do for next year; although I will look forward to seeing photos of your final product.' There is a difference btw constructive criticism and criticism. Seriously, let's think about this. I don't mean to sound harsh at all or bitchy, lol. I just think we can bring some discussions up a notch. The peeve part of my pet peeve is also when a criticism is given that cannot be fixed w/in the time left up to a show date. And no judge has ever told me that my quads are underdeveloped, and I always ask what I need to work on.... Knowing my phsyique and how it actually looks, I was intrepid about posting the pictures bcause I know the angle and the light was not showing my physique...and really a lot of the pics I have posted same deal. My point is tell my who you are or what your background is. Otherwise, since I dunno you---hard for me to know how much value to place in your opinion? |

I agree with you about the criticism though. Many of the people who give the cruelist criticism won't even post their own pics. Wonder why? There is definately a way to be constructive without being mean. Of course those people usually excuse theirselves by saying they are just "being honest." Face it, just "being honest" is sometimes just an excuse to be RUDE. I see what you mean about the lighting. The details of your back stand out much better in your avatar than they do in the strong sunlight. | |
