Plus I think the body needs rest from time to time ya know
The difference between me and you is that you still look fucking awesome when not training! Huge delts, calves, forearms... I don't have those. I was talking to Lindsey and telling her the other day how I aspire to your training methods. You lift relatively light and still have a very dense/thick physique. For me, it's like I just respond better to lifting super heavy weights and it gets me big really quick - but is not good long term for joints. I am going to try to adapt your training style and hopefully will respond well.

You are right about the rest factor, and you are giving your body just that - REST. BUT the amount of time I took off, it went from being good to bad lol. I am just lucky to have what I do with the amount of endless hours I worked and spent in school.

I agree. You still have a good BALANCED build with the amount of time you have taken off. To me that is a GOOD THING! You may have lost some size but no relative weak points in my opinion. Its all still there you just gotta bring it back.

I appreciate the words too! I have some body parts that are strong points that seem to always be there but I also have some that totally disappear when I dont hit em hard. My traps/chest/back are always areas that are weak on me but when I take a break they completely go away.

You got the physique to do what you want bro...and the knowledge! Just find the right schedule to juggle everything and you'll be fine.

Re: - 2008 -

Thank you for the response and encouragement, Mpresiv. I certainly appreciate the insight and well thought responses!

My body is so absolutely sore right now - WOW! Legs are just killing me all over. Remind me never to get old, ha ha.

Last week was quite successful overall. I feel like we did a lot of right things. My right hand is really holding back my workouts. I find it extremely hard to grip a reasonable amount of weight with my right hand. I will keep working around the pain and injury until it heals.

I'll keep updating as we go forward.

Buffarkie - Correct, I am at NWAC. Where are you at? My second semester is starting tomorrow. If you have any questions please contact me!

I went to the Northwest classic yesterday. Overall, it was a good time. I am impressed with Matt's offseason improvements as usual - luckily we got to catch up for a bit.

Training is going good. Overtraining is hurting me a bit. My recovery time is shot to shit, but it should start picking up over the next couple of weeks. My goal is to keep my pace nice and steady!

BTW - Will you be attending the SNA convention in mid November? If so, we need to get together.

Thanks for the bump ! :)

Everything is going really good for me right now. My hand is no longer bothering me as much and I am starting to get down & dirty with the free weights. My diet is decent, but could use a lot more stability. I feel very healthy and have a lot of energy - more than anything, I just feel good all around.

I don't have much of an update on strength or weight gains because I haven't been pushing the envelope. Staying in the gym alone has done me wonders.

I'll be back.

Re: - 2008 -

Another Friday in the bag. Some days I don't feel like working out when I get home in the evening, but I go anyways and it's amazing how good I feel once I get some weight underneath me.

School is definitely 'trying' to kick some ass but I have it ALL under control. Scoring great grades and putting my time in. It's funny because I have adopted the same attitude to school as I have with bodybuilding. Most people look at it as work - I look at it as fun! Downfall is with clinical days I cannot eat worth a flip; no biggie though.

I will hit the gym tomorrow and finish my rotation with hamstrings/calves.
