Women's Figure: Jenny Lynn -- 3rd yr in a row
- 1st Runner Up: Monica Brandt

Women's Fitness: Jen Henderschot -- 1st yr -- also from Columbus, OH -- hometown crowd & a very emotional night for her.
- 1st Runner Up: Adelina Fridmansky
- Shocking 4th place: Kelly Ryan

Women's BB: Yaxeni Orequin -- 3rd yr in a row, winner heavy weight & overall
- Lightweight Winner: Brenda Ragenot (also won last yr)

Notes from me as an observer:

- You can definitely see the move towards a "softer" look. Even the figure girls weren't as defined as I've seen them in NPC shows in the past. Only the fitness girls were really lean. The BB girls -- well there are only 2-3 of the older ranks who used to really have size. Yaxeni is the tallest & the biggest at 5'8" and something lik 168 lbs. To me she looked less lean than I've seen her in the past, but she's still so big it looked more like bloat than lean. I thought Brenda should've won the overall.
- Interesting note: Betty Pariso, competing in the heavyweight BB, at 49 yrs old, is the oldest competitor to still be competing. And frankly she really looked good.
- There was an new girl in the Women's lightweight division, Austrian Susanne Niederhauser, at 5'5", 125 lbs who had an awesome build but not as much mass as all the other lightweights-- she was tallest of them but 5 lbs lighter than many of them. Tiny waist, great lats & upper body. She placed 3rd but just had a very aesthetically pleasing shape. For her height I would've expected her in the heavyweight, but she's very long & lean, narrow abs and flaring lats. (http://members.aon.at/susanneniederhauser.com/)

Unfortunately I missed most of the fitness routines so I can't speak to that but those girls always amaze me & I look forward to getting some pix of them tomorrow at the Expo.

And Arnold was there to hand out all the trophies -- still looking good!

The first 2 pix are Betty & the last is Susanne. Betty's thing is that she finishes her routines doing the most muscular pose & sticking her tongue out like King Kamali or one of the guys does. Its sort of funny. She's definitely old school & just looks like she has a lot of fun w/ the whole thing.

The women looked good at prejudging (especially the fitness competitors)..I was sorry to see that the really big girls weren't competing (they were walking around).I think the IFBB had asked they cut back on size by 20%, and come less freaky.I thought Christeen Roth was looking great..(see the girl in the blue on my expo pics).
There was absolutley no way Jen Hendershot was going to loose in the fitness, she had such an attitude, and was totally on.Most of the girls from the Fitness Factory looked good.
