| Contest Prep Mod ![]() | Contest prep ...why is it so hit and miss? Unlike many other sports, bodybuilding contest prep seems to be mainly word of mouth or anecdotal. If you were a tennis player or swimmer there are specific things that you do that are documented in various sports journals and magazines on how to peak for your event. In bodybuilding it seems like everyone is just on their own and you get bits and pieces off the internet, a dodgy magazine or from some guy at the gym who did well in a contest and is not seen as an expert. Why is this? Are there books on fool proof contest prep ? |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I think it's because if you truly get to contest shape your body is so sensitive and any little change can throw it out of wack. Where as if you are at a higher bodyfat and you make changes to diet/water/etc. the changes are not as dramatic. |
