Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Risks of having too llow "good" choleterol levels?.. When I had blood work done, I had very very low cholesterol levels- both hdl and ldl. I assume this is may be related to letrozole, nolva, and winny usage primarily. The doc. said since both levels were low overall, ...not low "good" and high "bad" cholesterol levels it's not too serious to be concerned. ..My bp was normal, I'm not overweight nor did I have any other risks...Liver enzymes were a bit elevated, and I had a high BUN reading. Is there any reason for concern/risks of having a low "good" cholsest. level, even if no other risk factors are present? |

If everything else is within normal range as far as bad cholesterol then I wouldnt worry about it. Normally it takes two points of good cholesterol to get rid of one point of the bad, but since yours isnt high right now I wouldnt worry.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I wouldn't worry...your LDL is OK/low, so you should be fine....as Joeyz said, you need HDL to combat LDL, but if HDL is low then the low LDL is basically insignificant....if HDL were high, on the other hand, then you your risk of developing heart disease is somewhat higher, especially over a period of time.
