portable ultrasound??

I was thinking about buying one from LGmedsupply. They have really good prices. There's a unit that's $129 marked down from $469. Why so cheap? The mettler units are all over $2,000 so I'm wondering what is the major difference between a portable and a stationary one is???

Isn't that about the same power that they use in physical therapy? I mean normally you shouldn't have to go over 2-4 w I'm thinking. Seems like a good deal but I'm sceptical of things that normally cost in the thousands that are cheap. I mean it's only $130 so I won't be broke and if it works it could be the best investment of my life. Any info would be apprecaited

I would get it. I know the ultra sound at physical therapy helped tremendously with my patella tendonitis! I guess it couldn't hurt to try, unless of course you left it on for too long!

Are you sure that they used an ultrasound massage and not an EMS unit or a stationary TENS unit? I would just call them and ask what type of ultrasound unit they use and compare it if that is the case. My PT used and EMS unit on my back.

I have a EMS Russian stimulater Tens unit. I love it, but this is an ultra sound device with the wand and everything.
