needle gauge question

What is the proper gauge i.m. needle one should use for glute injections and delt injections? Also what length? also how many cc's in each delt ( i believe it is 2 max)?

guage depends on you..

legth.. i would go 1 1/2 in glute and 1 inch in delt.. ive know people to put 3 ccs in delt no problem

23ga is probably most popular.

the smaller the gauge the better but oil based injections have trouble flowing in anything smaller than a 23g although if you are patient a 25g can be done. I have used a 27g as a lst resort but clear your schedule :bigok: as it takes forever

I use 1" 23 or 25's in my glute, I find the 1" is plenty so I guess I have less padding!!!

Delts I use 25G 5/8" or 1" and mainly 5/8" with no problem......

Use a hair dryer and heat up the oil for 25's though or your hand will get tired trying to inject the oil itself......also good to heat it so you are not puhing on that plunger and hurt the area by moving that needle a round a lot...

Not sure where you would find this thing, but I use a bean bag, designed to be warmed up in a microwave, and then taken to bed for your kids,...Just as a pillow/bed warmer.

I heat it up, place the bottle in it for a while, and then after drawing the oil, place the readied injection in it for a short while again, and then go with it when ready. I use 25ga for my glute's, or ventro's.

By the way, this is with Test Cypionate for my HRT.
