| Post Whore ![]() | So far, tnothing is helping my tendons. Ihave even worse tendonitis in my elbows and pains in my forearms. However, the surgery was well worth the hassle. For the first 4-6 months I wanted to kill the doc. I swore if anybody ever cut me again, it would either be to kill me or to perform an autopsy. Now, I feel a bit different. I can go in the gym and train balls out without worrying if I am damaging something or not. I now understand what the different types of shoulder pain mean. If it is a tendon, I slow down and let it rest. Otherwise, the pain is all gone. I know that I am not doing further damage, and the peice of mind that goes along with that is worth alot! I wish they would prescribe gh for my tendons...not a chance around here. None of these quacks will go for that. |

| Coldstone...you might try to let your shoulder rest for a while (maybe a week)I had a similar problem a few weeks ago and I'm 100% sure that barbell military presses are what caused it. Military pressing has taken more of my friends out of lifting for a while than any other exercise. I had the exact same "symptoms" that you are describing and found myself in pain trying to lift a 10 lb painting up to be hung. I let the shoulder rest ( I did nothing that involved the shoulder) for one week then started back light for the first week,No military pressing..but everything else. By the 2nd week I was ready to get back to the military press (My fav excercise and one of my strongest) and did so with some adjustments...Instead of being restricted by the seat and taking the weight from behind my head like most restricted seats make you do I now use a sturdy upright steel seat and have two spotters pass me the weight directly over my head (not from behind like a normal lift off will cause) World of difference bro! got back to the very heavy weight and now have no pain. | |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I believe MRI's can only diagnose the condition if it's complete, not partial, so it is likely severe...which, as far as I know, like pl said, surgery is the only option I think, if rest doesn't improve it in about 6 months. Quote:
