I'm currently on an ADD medication (legally) is there anything in particular I should not do while doing cardio?

Monitor your heart rate and keep it in the acceptable range - don't push too hard and if you feel any dizziness stop immediately

i thought that med for ADD slows you down???

side effects do include cardiac arrhythmia.....consult with the prescribing physician.....he'll know your history and what you are "healthy" enough to do........

Amphetamines have the exact opposite effect on brain activity in those with ADD. The key word is brain activity, not heart rate. I cannot explain the reasoning behind this, but this is what I've always heard as well. It was not something we studied in nursing school, but now you have me questioning what I've always been lead to believe. I guess I will read up on it today!
