Help me Naughty Nurse or someone with knowledge of this!!!

Have been out for two weeks. Right elbow...outside where forearm muscle meets with lower tricep is killing me just to straightewn it out. Tendon?? What do I do. I have to get back in the gym. Felt it pull when I was pushing 415lbs on incline press. Also, have been off of deca for 1 month and pain has obviously gotten worse. What do you suggest???

I get this often, although it ususally goes away after a day or so. I ususally notice it more when I do heavy tricep pushdowns in that specific area. First of all do you have any swelling or redness in that area? If you dont have a large amount of swelling or symptoms that indicate more then just basic inflammation, then I would probably just start simple and use either ibuprofen or Aleve and see if that gets you anywhere is conjunction with ice. If it doesnt help then you might have some form of tendonitits and need something more along the lines of bexra or Viox. How long have you been out? I definately would recommend doing heavy lifts with this problem until some of the symptoms start to go away.

Joeyz covered it...really can't think of anything to add except that I posted an interesting read I found about RICE vs MEAT Therapies, where it says that using ice MAY not be as effective as heat IF it's a tendon, especially since it's not an immediate injury. Try both, see which is better for ya.

"Rice vs. Meat" or Ice vs. heat?

LOL...I know, sounds dumb....but that's the title of the article....but that's the idea...ice and rest vs heat and movement.
