cycle effects on insulin

While on a cycle, can the whole process of the cycle cause the body to become more insulin resistant? Does Heart disease cause insulin resistant signs? I ask because i am a diabetic and on insulin. Any advice would help out!

Im not positive about a general cycle of AS, but using exogenous insulin for someone who isnt diabetic can cause insulin resistance. I will see what I can find. Insulin resistance causes damage to the heart and can result in a heart attack...........but on the flip side, people who use insulin are at something like a 45% reduced risk of having a big heart attack. Insulin inhibits many different inflammatory markers and is actually given to patients in the hospital who have had a heart attack. It is generally given after surgery once blood flow is re-established. let me see what I can find though.

thanks will be much appriciated, an aded question though to what ou had said about 45% les chance of ha heart attack. why is it then that doctors are even more concerned with patiets that are diabetic with any heart related issues. I had a reading of high bad cholesterol and low cholesterol but my blood was takenduring a cycle almost right in the middle. so these numbers are most liekly skewed. I did not el my doctor that i was on ASso he assumed they were normal. I am 21 and he wanted me on Lipitor right away, not taking it though. what is your thoguth on thi matter? Also a little side note, one of my immediate family members company that they work for is Schering Plough and they and Merk have come together on a product called vylator, better on the liver and kidneys then lipitor. Anyone hear of it yet? suposed to be due out sometime in Sept. thought those who are on lipitor might look in to this. LET ME KNWO IF I HAVE TO EDIT THIS JUST IN CASE ;-)

Re: cycle effects on insulin

I read somewhere that Cutler takes his insulin twice a week on something like a Monday, and Thursday schedule which are his high carb days which makes sense.

He pretty much carb cycles year round, and with using insulin in this manner while on HGH ,which all pros are, helps lessen the strain on the pancreas. HGH will do more to make you a diabetic than taking insulin twice a week.

Re: cycle effects on insulin

Use of Testosterone at higher than normal levels causes insulin resistance. Using it on long cycles at high doses will eventually lead to diabetes
