| Blood Work I have had my blood work done already this year. The school had it done at school for cheap for state employees and I had it done. But of course they didn't check my test levels. So know I want to have my test levels checked for multiple reasons. How do I go about finding a doctor and getting my blood work done AGAIN just to check my test levels. And do you think it is going to cost and arm and a leg? | |

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | Being a state employee, you should have pretty good insurance? Sounds like a pain, but I would find a state funded hospital and possibly go with a doctor there. I have one in my area...........that is completely state funded. I dont know..............you might just have to buck up and pay it. Im not sure what it will cost to be honest. Sometimes you can find "resturant" style labs that hospitals place in malls for example, where you walk in and pick which lab you want off of a menu and they draw your blood right there and run it. Later on they send you the results in the mail. They are usually a lot cheaper

That's what I was thinking...pl would know more than I about the US medical system, but I assume it depends on why you want it tested.....if it's strictly for bodybuilding purposes, maybe someone can refer you to a doc who works in such a field, and then I would imagine you would have to pay a nice price. If you present with symptoms of either a deficiency or a surplus of test, I would think it shouldn't be a problem......unless you don't have a doc, and I don't know if that is a big issue in the US....it is here!! You're young, so for example, if you complained of infertility, or on the flip side, acne, you may get tested, but I would doubt it for minor complaints like acne. Suspect high blood pressure or liver problems? May get tested as well, although I know here test would be likely the last thing to be checked, unless it was related to symptoms of low, such as the infertility. So, I hope we have been able to help you a bit, only you know what symptoms you're showing.......if they are good and valid, testing shouldn't be a problem, and covered I would guess. :)

Unless you can play an impotence card / ( which could be opening a can of worms when they find it normal to high ) or infertility ( "my girlfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant for two years - she's been tested she's OK ")- hard to justify a test for test levels. Best of luck Bro. Keep us posted.
