Rep Power: 3 ![]() | being honest about usage to the doc... Is this wise? I want to be upfront so the problems I am having can be corrected ASAP rather than play games with the doc until he figures out on his own. My problems are low test im going back to have levels checked again in July. I would like to be able to tell him I have used in the past but don’t want that to affect my chances of getting HRT. c |

They need reasoning for doing tests, labs and procedures and in order to keep from getting sued chart things you say, do and that they find. You would fall over if you saw some of the things I chart that people say or do...............even doctors. We get screamed at on the phone and told "dont fucking call me back"...........thats exactly what I write. People get sued so often anymore that I can total see a doc writing "patient confirms past use of illegal or unprescribed anabolic steroids".

| I just went into a chart of a patient who came to see me. In a previous visit he saw one of the other providers I work with. In that visit he told the provider that he had used anabolics and still did " one cycle a year for healing. " The doc went on to list in his notes that the patient is pre-disposed to heart problems and hypertension due to his illicit drug use. I have no doubt that this will come to bite him ( the patient ) in the a$$ further down the road when trying to get insurance . They will just call it a pre-existing condition and not cover him. Under NO circumstances would I ever tell my Doc about AAS use - ever.
