Mitchell report Dec 13 @ 2pm EST

Tommorrow at 2pm EST the Mitchell report findings and recommendations will be announced- so far there are an estimated 80 players named with at least 5 being of all star caliber.
Once again the media and MLB will dredge up this old subject and beat the horse one more time. The report calls for an eduction program for the players about AAS. I ask- based off whos information will this education be based? Most certainly the puritanical media whom we have known for a long time doesnt know shit about AAS positive or negative.
This report will most certainly rattle the DEA's cage and call them to arms to save America's past time by busting more UGL's- when it is a well known fact that MLB players get the best HG gear money can buy...they can afford it and they dont use UGL. Nonetheless be very weary looks like a precursor to another shake down- please take heed and be very cautious.

I have to agree Brother - major players named in that report - will stir up a hornet's nest - I think this will be a major campaign issue for the GOP in 08. Things won't settle down till mid 09 is my belief

Yeah there were some big players named in that list. There were also a list of players named that supposedly bought gear online. I dont see things getting better in the future as far as purchasing any kind of aas.

I think this is a great thing for the eventual promotion of the safe use of HRT. Here we have alot of athletes using potentially dangerous substances, yet they aren't dropping dead left and right.

It makes absolutely no sense. A woman has a sex change and they give her steroids, yet you want to hit a ball a little further and you're villified!

I just dont understand why this is a big deal. I do not care at all if pro athletes use steroids. As far as the role model deal goes - kids would not even know about steroids unless the media linked it to the athletes to begin with. So they stir something up and then someone else has to pay for it.

They have spent more time lately worrying about which athlete is using steroids than michael vick killing dogs. He is spending just 23 months (or less!!) in jail and athletes like bonds are on the most wanted list. Get a grip people...lol.

annnnd...the only reason why bonds would do time is for lying to the grand jury.......which he did do......but I dont blame him for that.....

This is nothing more than a witch hunt. If I had the money that some of these athletes have I would sue Mitchell and everyone else for libel. I doubt they would win but I would still drag his ass in to court just to try to clear my name. Especially if some of these guys really didn't use AAS and I don't believe they have proof that everyone of them did....
