My new ride...

This picture sucks and the car was dirty. I'll take some better ones on a nice day. Anyway, I picked it up a couple of weeks ago. 2000 Trans Am WS6 with just a couple of bolt-ons. A procharger goes in this summer. B)

This is the least expensive car I've driven (with the exception of my first) but it has to be one of my favorites. Just pure fun, except for being an automatic, but if you had to spend as much time in rush hour traffic as me, you'd understand, maybe. I miss my 6speed. :(

A word on the Procharger......

After much research, I have found that motor will not handle over 8 psi. You will need a new reciprocating assembley if you go above that. Evidently, Vortech has beeter longevity than the procharger in the sub 8psi range. It has about the same output with greater reliability. My buddy is a Procharger dealer, and is sponsored by them...he recommends the Vortech for a daily driver...over the Procharger.
If you go high PSI....Procharger produces more hp.

I heard that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My guy will install one for me...$3800 for the parts....$600 for labor.
Then $400 for a MAS...$400 for injectors...then those spark plugs.

:( I was supposed to put on my vortech in a couple of weeks and my NOS kit next weekend... but my tranny busted on me today and I have to trade off my NOS kit for a new T-5 tranny....it just ain't fare.....

Well...it certainly would have gone out when you added the blower and the bottle. Then you would have had to go through pulling off the bottle...it saved you the trouble. ;)

I hear ya..... I'm just anxious to get her all done so I can start making some cash again. I promised someone along time ago I was done with street racing but it's in my blood..... than again I might just keep it on the track and make money that way.

So your a tranny guy eh? I have a question. What the hell is going on when I put my trans in first and as soon as I start going the damn thing pops out of gear, it goes right back in but still annoying as hell. only does it in first. I'm thinking maybe syncros. BTW its a 3spd saginaw.
