| Post Whore ![]() | Re: Low carb has went too far Actually, I like the idea. However, I think this type of feeding would be entirely breed specific. different breeds will require more carbs than other breeds. Besides that, I think Pedigree is the best you buy at the grocery store. I don't feed my dogs that stuff...but I don't buy mine at the grocery store either. I drive 180 miles (each way) to buy my dog food. It is a special brand, and there are only seven locations that sell it. It gets kindof costly to ship 6-10 40lb bags, so I drive and the wife and I go out in "the city." |

However - it gave her the worst gas. We switched her to Iams Lamb and Rice. She's doing well on that but still, I have NEVER been around a dog that has as much gas as she does!!! |

| Post Whore ![]() | Re: Low carb has went too far My old Dobie....Kaz had the most and the worst gas known to man. My God that dog was leathal. It got to the point that he would cut one, look back at his ass, then get up and leave the room. We knew it was time to put on the gas masks and evacuate. We tried several different foods, and he was so friggin hyper that anything less than 32% protein would be like putting him on a diet. He would lose weight. I tried Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Prescription Diet, and finally Diamond for the Dobe. Diamond was the best. His coat was absolutely amazing. Now we use Avo-derm. It is a proprietary brand produced by Red Bandanna. This Avo-Derm was recommended by our breeder, and the dogs look great! Their skin is fantastic, and their coats really shine. I would have loved to see ole Kaz on this stuff. |
