Owned a PC, but now have an laptop. Reasons I have a laptop is because It's easier to transport from school to home, and it takes up less space on my desk in my tiny appartment.

Once I finish school though, I'll probably get another PC just because of the aforementioned reasons of switching out parts and $.

It all depends on what your using them for really.

i own both as well. many good points already made about upgrading laptops as well as fixing them. to show everyone how much i used my laptop...i traded it for the vacuum when my ex moved out and we had to split everything up. i think it was a good trade...it is a hoover afterall

As a general rule, laptops are slower than desktops as they are trying to reduce the amount of heat in the much smaller laptop. More power=more heat. The video will be severly lacking in a laptop for the same reason.
