HEY BUDLITE IVE BEEN TRYING WITH MY YOUNGER BROTHER FOR AGES TO TRY TO CRACK THE DUMMY GLITCH BUT ITS HARD AS NAILS TO GET UNLESS IM DOING SOMETHING WRONG? IM AN ELITE MY BROTHER HOSTS THE GAME I JUMP INTO THE SIDE AND THE ELITE EITHER JUST GETS OUT AND BELTS THE WARTHOG OR HE JUST LOOKS LIKE HE IS DANCING IN THE WARTHOG LOL CAN YOU HELP ME? MY GAMERTAG IS ILLWHITELIONX MY TAG IS ALL CAPITAL LETTERS ALSO :) WOULD APPRECIATE IT I CAN SWORD CANCEL/LUNGE I CAN GLITCH SO THAT THE ROCKETS CIRCLE THE WARTHOG ALSO CAN FLY USING SWORD WARTHOG AND BANSHEE MUST ADMIT I DONT USE ANY FORM OF CHEATING ON LIVE HAD SOMEBODY HIDING IN A TREE WITH THE BOMB ON MY TEAM SO I SNIPED HIM OUT OF IT THEN LEFT LOL SHOULD PLAY IT PROPERLEY OR NOT AT ALL

your thread was the only reason why i joined this site. we've been discussing these cheats on my site the past few days. mainly because we've had it out with so many people that use the x-button glitch to grab things from behind a wall...i did it my self not knowing what i was doing once.

your explanation of the standy and dummy glitches was great. i only wanted to let you know that i shared your thread with the members of my site on maharet's brood. if your ever interested in playing with us please feel free to add my gamertag: Maharet. were a really relaxed bunch so not big on the competitive thing, but we like to have fun.

Yeah i know how to dummy and all because my friend told me.But do any of you know to self dummy.I was at lockout and it was 1 flag CTF.This is what happened there was know blue screen it just said flag taken flag capatured in 2 seconds.Then the next day my friend told me that you could self dummy and he didn't know how.So I have been serching website after website to find it but none of them tell you how!!!!!!!!!! WTF is up with that.

i met a guy on xbl and he showed me that if you are the host of the game you can do a trick where if you have a router you pull out the cable that goes from the phone filter to your router and this enables you to dummy for about 5 or 6 seconds and you can move and everything. but whatever you do, do not pull the ethernet cable from your router to your xbox.

this may sound crappy tht it is only for about 5 to 6 seconds but the guy sed if you keep doing the 5 or 6 seconds as many times in a row as you want then you can go as far as you want untill eventually you you are close enough to grab the flag within a 5- 6 second time limit.

when you want to stop dummying plug the cable from the fone filter bak in and then when you move it should bring you back to your real body.

so you can do it for 5-6 seconds and move as far as you can with the dummy in this space of time then plug the cable back in and repeat it untill you get to their flag and then finally plug it back in and move in whichever ditrection to be teleported back to your real body. If you do this for too long at any one time u will lag out of the game.

i dont wish to use the dummie glitch or any other on xbox live but i would like to know if the dummie glitch works in reg multiplayer. ive tried it many times but it doesnt leave a dummie behind on the other players screen i dont know if i am doing something wrong or if it just doesnt work off of xbox live

1st the "standby glitch"
Check your modem and it will have a standby switch on it ... only NEW modems have this feature.
supposable you have to be the host of the party ..

2nd the "Dummy Glitch"

1: you have to be an elite player not a human player (change this in settings)

-Have 2 guys get in a hog...
-Have someone jump in the drivers seat and gunner if you have the people and,
-Have the elite player sit on the passenger side. Have the elite press the X button and right before the elite fully gets out of the hog continuously press B, so it shows like your getting out but canceling at the last minute.
-The elite player will see himself sitting in the hog, but everyone else including his own teammates will see him jump out (but is in the seat).
-YOU NEED TO KEEP PRESSING THE B BUTTON this whole time, don't stop or you will jump out. you are invisible to everyone so you will have to let your driver know when you are back in the seat so he knows.
-Now drive off to the other base
-Stop the hog some were close to the flag.
-The driver or who ever will get the flag
at this time the elite will stop pressing the B button and he will jump out of the hog.
-DO NOT MOVE!! you can look around (up down, 360*, but don't walk) -So the elite is standing outside of the hog waiting for the guy who ran and grabbed the flag ...
-once you get the flag bring it to the passenger side of the hog where you "think" your friend the elite is and drop it ...
-the elite can then press the X button to pick up the flag ...
-once the elite has the flag MOVE FORWARD and you will respond back where your body is at your base and just go and capture

your body is invisible the whole time your playing ... but the "dummy" body that you left at your base can get killed (thus you die)

These glitches has caused alot of commotion at bungie.net because cheating sucks and it sucks when your winning and they can only win by glitching/cheating. im only telling you this so you know how to defend these cheats and so that you are aware of whats goin on. i practice it in custom games so if you want help or have any questions hit me up.

Don't think it works off of x-box live... it exploits the connection through the net to work, as I understand it anyway.

yes ... there is a mod where you can play just with mêlée attacks ... that is a fun verssion ...
