got this game last week and its like crack, been playing pretty much 7 hrs a day if not more. any one else have this?

yeah its RPG but its not tedious, its action right from the start, you choose a main Profession and then a Sub Profession. so you could be a Warrior/monk, necromance/ranger etc. check out more info here:

I bought it back on release day. I must say it was quite fun, but hard to learn your way around the place. I love the "henchmen" option if you don't feel like pulling together a group of idiots (other players). I have to say, this game is the best yet for short gamers who don't have hours and hours to dump into a MMORPG.

I don't think ANYONE should dump hours into a game (even if they have hours to spare). It's not healthy mentally or physically.

lmao!...or sorry, were u being serious?....I mean comon, it's one of the great joys in life. U cant go around killing ppl so u take ur anger out on a game. And spending hours making ur character or what not amazing gives me a sense of pride and accomplishment that's a lot funner to acheive that most things. Specially Rome: Total war, when you take over the ancient world..BAM!

Guild wars is ok. A lot of people like it, but it is not for everyone.

I for example can't stand it. Don't get me wrong, the presearing was awesome, but after a good while of playing the game you quickly realize EVERY town, every quest everything is the same old same old same old path crap over and over.

Each town is a hub, where you can join with other players, or take henchmen, get quests. These are the only spots in the entire game, where it is actually a MMORPG, as the rest of the game is instanced meaning no other players in your section besides your team. (this is soooo lame) The only good thing about this, is other players aren't around to still your monsters (but then again, fighting sucks in this game after the 10,000 time)

So basically, each settlement gives your char type a boring quest of either- escort, kill, or retrieve. REGUARDLESS of the mission type, you end up just killing anyways.
And fightings is the biggest problem with the game.

Every 10 steps in this extremely pathy game yeilds another monster group that attacks you no matter what. You can't just run past these increasingly annoying small battles, as many monsters slow you with magic ect. So each time you have to go on the same path for a different quest, you end up fighting the many same crappy ultra lame battles over and over and over. Even if you see no monsters ahead, you can be assured some kind of worm, or scorpian will borrow out of the groud to attack you every few steps.

Especially for the warrior class, this game is lame. You just run up, and CLICK the same moves over and over, nothing challanging or skillful about it.
The weaker creatures yeild no exp for killing them once you lvl up to certain points, yet you HAVE to fight them.

How often do you come under attack? VERY FREAKING OFTEN!!!!! The constant annoying battles which are fun at first, will really piss you off after a few days of playing.
You can only go to lvl 20, and the economy and how it functions is stupid in this game. Most of your swords ect, you will get from the combat field, and the game actually controlls what wepons you can use, and when you get them, based on your lvl. (ultra lame) Money is just used for buying better armor pretty much...

So after getting the same simular tasks over and over from each town you reach, and getting the same style of play no matter where you go, the game only showcases variety in the environments. But even there what is the point? You are limited to extremely pathy routes. Joy.

I can't stand this game and I am sorry I got it.

But yeah, otherwise MOST people do love it to death, and play it often, so I highly recommend it to all you diablo and Guantlet fans. You can't beat the price, because it is free to play after you buy it unlike everquest and world of warcraft.

This is just A game right? I understand getting to take frustrations out on some-thing, but I wish, I had that much time to dedicate to my physical self, after all
usually I am planning my wrk. out, or diet, or, just reading tech. health updates for better nut.(eating), wrkouts, and the like. shit You would hate to see me with 7hrs. of gym time A day.... S!#t!

i feel ur pain mugg i am addicted to a shitty mmorpg game calld runescape and im just about ready for a change. I think i'll pick this one up this weekend and give it a try..happy gaming!
