Syno to Test free base problem? Help please

I am half way through my synovex to test free base conversion. After filtering the heet/syno solution several times, i still couldn't get it completely clear. But, i saw no cloudy substances settling on the bottom so i went on. When it came time to adding the "saturated" sodium hydroxide, I prepared the soulution and then poured it into the heet/synovex solution as i was instructed. The solution turned greenish/yellow. Then 20 minuted later I started to see white cloudy substance form in the solution and start to settle to the bottom of the jar. is this normal? In my instructions i am told to let this sit for at least a day before adding adding distilled water to form test crystals.

Am I okay so far? By that I mean the color and state of my solution..or did i make a mistake somewhere? Am I okay to go on?
