Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Who says it removes 99.5% of estradiol? I don't think it is even feasible to do unless you are willing to get a 50% yield, then it MIGHT be ok. It is very time consuming though. I was wrong to say the the melting point can determine whether the estradiol is there or not, it can't, at least not as I wrote it. I doubt it would be possible on a real melting point apparatus as well though. I still say use NaOH if you do not want to buy a reagent that selectively removes estrogen.
