Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Re: Working on you inner pecks I did chest last night so I have the aches and pains to know what I did right ... for inner chest I did incline ( only about 15-20 degrees) dumbell presses with a good hard squeeze at the top and about a 5 second negative , after that the old peck deck to pump up nice and hard. The secret to great pecs I think is to work the angles and mix up the exercises , do something different but equally taxing every workout. and dont be scared to put on an extra few kg and drop the reps - its the only way to get stronger. |

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | Re: Working on you inner pecks Some might not agree with me on this, but IMO you can't develop a inner or outer chest....they simple do not exist. The chest is made up of an upper and a lower. While you can squeeze and hold some movements at the top, or full contraction, it is still no way to isolate an inner portion of the chest. Work toward total developement of the pec major and minor. I found this on the net and would like to share it with y'all........ The muscles of the chest, the pectorals, can be thought of as consisting of two main areas for the purposes of training, i.e. the upper and lower chest comprising the pectoralis minor and pectoralis major, respectively. Also involved in many of the pressing movements for the chest are the front deltoid muscles of the shoulder and the triceps of the upper arm. Stabilising muscles and muscles which rotate the scapulae (shoulder blades) are also involved. The upper chest is mainly targeted via movements done on an incline bench, while the lower chest is worked through flat or decline bench and parallel bar dip-type movements.
