Re: question on compound workouts

Well honestly you should try and gain as much lean mass as possible and it is possible. The diet BigT has me on right now is great. It seems as though I'm not gaining any weight because so far its been constant. However what is happening is while I'm gaining muscle mass I'm loosing bf. You should read Swole's interview pinned in the diet section, it'll give you a general idea of dieting for gaining lean mass.

Re: question on compound workouts

i wouldnt limit myself to a tempo or total rep stopping point ... i alternate .. for instance .. 1 time i do chest , i will do 8 sets of 8 reps 70% 1rm 1 min rest intervals
next workout , i will do 8 sets 3 reps slowly with 4 min rest period
on the final workout , i will do 4 sets of 15 .. 40 % 1 rm as fast as possible with a few min rest period .. on this day , if i cant do all the reps with good speed , ill drop the weight !
it has really worked for me and the kids i have trained !
i have taken 1 kid from 155 to 190 in a few months natty in the past !
ofcourse , intensity is key
