Rep Power: 8 ![]() | Early morning cardio question I have some conflicting thoughts on early morning cardio. Some say that it is more effective to do it on an empty stomach. Others say do a shake 45 mins before. I would think 30-45 mins of hard physical cardio after fasting (sleeping for 8 hours), would cause your body to depleate your muscles instead of stored fat. Therefore i would think it be better to have a shake before cardio. Any other thoughts on this. Maybe i should make a poll.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | i dont drink a shake. only thing i take is a teaspoon of ALCAR powder which is like 3 grams and a fatburner. Been taking NYC in the morning. im sure some of ya'll remember that. U cant find that shit anywhere anymore cause its illegal now. |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() | The main reason cardio gets a bad rap is cause some bros do it right before or right after weight training which does deplete muscle. I always do cardio am and weights pm (well, when im not bulking.)

Rep Power: 8 ![]() | I've never done cardio on an empty stomach. I think I'll try it. It sucks fighting off a protein shake cramp 15 minutes into it. Thanks

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | The ONLY time I have noticed fatloss from adding cardio to my routine is when I did it first thing in the AM on empty stomach. I toyed with different cardio schemes a bit and that was the only time cardio did anything without modifying diet. I believe it's the best way to reap the benefits for fat burning. -rugger p.s. the assumption here is that your reason for doing cardio is fat loss and not for well, eh...cardio... |
