What should I have done????

I just had a package arrive. It was supposed to be express mail w/sig waived. A well dressed man in a KIA sedan pulls up in the driveway and tells me he has a an express mail package for me and needs a signature, whips out the little form and says sign here. I told him I wasn't expecting anything and I didn't know anyone from there so I didn't want it. He looked offended and said "you don't want it? Ok, we'll send it back then". Wasn't this the way I should have handled it?

Wow, was it Federal Express or USPS?

I think I would have done the same thing. No delivery man comes "well dressed" in a regular car.

yea, you can never be too safe nowadays. call it paranoia, call it taking precautions...i would've done the same thing.

this scenario only applies on sunday delivery.........

You did the right thing. It is possible for small towns that a SUPS carrier will have their own car to deliver. You never know but if you arent familiar with the carrier then REALLY be leary.
