Dutasteride?

I have started to notice a little baldness on top. I am not prone to having MPB so I was thinking about using dutasteride. So I have been searching for research on dutasteride and have found some good info on the board about how it works and dosage, my question is about how long and when to run it. Can I run it during my cycle, during pct, and for how long do I have to stay with it before I start to notice some results?

You can run it for as long as you want...during cycle, during pct, and off cycle, if you want to prevent anymore hair loss. I have not tried dotasteride yet, but I do use finesteride (propecia, proscar are the brand names) for the same reasons, and to protect my prostate from DHT. My family history has a of prostate cancer, so I do everything I can to protect myself. Both meds prevent testosterone (supplemented and natural) from converting to DHT....and DHT makes can lead to male pattern baldness, prostate enlargement, and acne. So, that's why you can take it year round. Both are safe meds from what I can tell from all the research I have done and from pesonally using the finesteride.

I would not use it during pct.

In fact, i would never use it at all. I know plenty of people personally that have lowered their natural testosterone from using it. There are Men's Health forums, like the one on Meso, that is loaded with people on the line hypogonadyl from using propecia. My roomate has been on it for a year, and has noticed a substantial decrease in sex drive (hes all natural), he stopped taking it and sais hes still not back to where he used to be. It depends on the person, but i wouldnt touch it. DHT is critical in strength and libido - its what makes u a man - why would oyu want to lower it?
