If he is on probation for abuse i would all most bet it is physical. if he is charged again for abuse then he could be in some real trouble!!! could be looking at a year or two..

but again it is not going to help your friend get her stuff paid for.. might get him out of he life a couple years but nothing more then that... if he goes to jail she can forget about getting anything paid for...

Im not a lawyer but destroying someones property is not abuse it would be destroying property... sounds like there is more to the story then he (dick weed) is telling....

The DA can and will go forward whether the female wants to cooperate or not. Next time your fighting with your old lady keep one thing in mind.Things get out of hand and she calls the cops they are gonna take one look at the 220lb plus meathead slap your ass in cuffs and your off to the rodeo.Its 24hrs in jail mandatory before they even have to think of a bond hearing.Then the DA is gonna shove a restraining order down her throat.If there are children in the house child services gets involved as well.Its a fuckin mess.Its not gonna matter there isnt a mark on her or that when they showed up you were buckled over holding your balls cause she just tried to rip them off. Your goin to jail and when you get out you arent going home.

They are gonna take every word of her self serving fable of a statement as the truth. They will come after her if she recants later. They threaten to go after her for lieing.They dont back off.All they want is a conviction for the books.

I agree its a huge money maker for the county.They have a 220 fee in the fine for the domestic battery slush fund which they use to employ counselors and advocates for the victims.Dont forget the court ordered classes for anger management which run $100 a pop.
Its only a slap on the wrist here in Illinois if convicted with one exception. They take away your right to legally own firearms. I am sure these laws tactics do alot of good in some cases. I just wonder how many men with unstable vindictative girlfriends or wives get ran thru the ringer.Their crime not being smart enough to get the hell out before she went mental on them.

No one cared that my 15y/o daughter was using the system to get what she wanted... no one listened to her father!!! now she is a convicted felon...Grand larceny of a controlled substance and IV drug user (METH) She just turned 19 if they would have listen to her father it may not have gotten this out of hand but they looked at me and saw a big tattooed biker!!! and haled my ass to jail it didn't matter to them... they never heard a word I said!!!! now my daughter is all screwed up!!!! not only did the system fail me it ultimately failed my daughter worst of all... That felony will never go away... and she is just a child!!! I can still see that fat f***ing cop with his stupid lookin smile as he was taking me to jail... I wonder if he has a daughter!!!!! I may not have been able to stop her from everything but i still had 3 years to try to get some king of control over what she was doing... but the took those 3 years away with the court ordered NO CONTACT WITH THE VICTIM...
