Favorite Bench shirt

I usually use a Rage-X, but just recently tried a Titan Katana. I immediately bought it form my training partner. I hit 515 for a very easy three of a 2 board. Now granted I think my Rage X could be a size smaller, but that Katana made the weight feel so easy.

What are your thoughts?

Re: Favorite Bench shirt

Inzer is the only one I've used (never at a comp) my natty bench was 465 at the time and I pressed 535 with the shirt. My buddy though was using the rage and put 100 lbs on his bench at WPO 2 years ago. I guess it's preference. Some guys don't mind spending $800 on a nasty bench shirt. I don't compete with a shirt so I don't know who has the best out there

Re: Favorite Bench shirt

I'm buying a custom made Rage X for my December comp (Super neck with 2" scoop). I had planned on getting a Katana, but it'll be a 12 week turnaround on a custom one, so I'll be putting my order for that one in early next year. :) I currently have an Inzer Phenom and I hate it. The sleeves are super-stretchy and I just have never gotten much kick out of it.

Re: Favorite Bench shirt

We have a Masters World Champion that owns our Private Gym. He uses a Inzer Phenom that was given to him by a guy named Paul who is Ryan K's hand off guy. Paul if a SHW, and our Old Guy is 242er. He wears it and benched a Page Ranking of 500 at 67 years of age. He loves it, but we try and explain how good he would bench in a shirt that "fits" him properly.

I don't like the cut on the phenom's...........and the sleeves on the Rage's and Katana feel much thicker. I bench 170 raw, and only 200 with my Phenom and don't feel like I'm getting crap out of it. And it really fits great. It's as tight as it should be it just doesn't do much. So I don't think I'll purchase another one of those. I'm just trying to decide whether to get a gridstitch or not.

Re: Favorite Bench shirt

Do you guys train with a shirt once and a while?? I'm getting back into comp and might opt to use a shirt until I'm hitting over 450 again raw. Reason is, I tore my pec, strained my tri and trap. Not really sure If I should train with or without a shirt until my pec is better.

Re: Favorite Bench shirt

I know Ryan K and his crew train in shirts all the time. I usually only train in my shirt the last 6-8 weeks. I am going to start training in my shirt more often.
