Bill Crawford Leaves APF For UPA

In an announcement made today, UPA President Kenny Patterson says that Bill Crawford will join the UPA as the New York State Chair. In accepting a position with the UPA, Crawford has become the latest in a long list of defectors from the APF. Crawford ran several APF meets each year.

Patterson says that the "UPA is happy to announce that Bill Crawford, of Metal Militia, has accepted the position of New York State Chairman for the UPA. Bill brings with him a wealth of knowledge from a meet promotion standpoint as well as many years of high level competition experience. As the promoter of several great meets a year in the upstate New York area Bill is a great addition to the UPA."

I have only talked to them on the phone a long time ago.....When I first started powerlifting I followed Crawford, and Burns pretty close.

His stepson lives up here with me in Oswego, one of my lifting partners. Sebastian used to come up here for the Oswego State Bench Comps years back. Good group of guys
