Rep Power: 4 ![]() | when to take bcaa's? so i usually take them in the morning and right before i workout...but I have been reading lately about using them while lifting....like mixing it into gatorade and drinking during workout.....whats everyone else doin? |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | yeah...I read an article in which milos sarcev ( spelling?) was talking abot how he gets his guys to drink some vitargo mixed with bcaa's, glutamine and mixed in gatorade while they work out....sounds like indigestion or a puke fest to me.....but i guess it works |

| Post Whore ![]() | I like my BCAAs morning, pre and post, and a hit before bedtime. One of the best workout mixes, especially for endurance athletes doing their thing for 60 min or more, is something akin to what you mentioned. Quite a few of the elite strength coaches are promoting this right now. The quick fix is something called Cytomax made by cytosport. However, I prefer to make my own mix, as 1 L is not enough hydration for me. Benway's workout mix: 1.5 L of the cheapest bottled water available, drink .5 L straight 20 oz gatorade, flavor of choice, drink off 4 oz. spoon 5-10g of pure glutamine powder into the gatorade, shake Pour the gatorade into the water bottle Its not as sugar-sweet as gatorade, much tastier than plain water, and keeps you going like crazy Crystal light can be used as a sub for those cutting weight, but the sugar is good for recovery, as well as the Mag and Pot |
