Re: Some feedback on this diet pls??

hey guys. this is my first post in the diet forum. I am hoping for some feedback on this diet. I am 5'6" and currently 185 lbs @ 13% bf. By trial and error, I learned that my maintenance cals is around 2500 cals/day so I figure increasing to 3000 should be ok for me.

This is what I thought I would eal like during my 15 wk cycle or tren/test/eq. Can someone offer any critiques??

1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup 2% milk (for oatmeal)
1/2 scoop ON Whey Protein
1 cup black coffee

MEAL 2

1 can tuna (packed in water) with lemon
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil (for tuna)

2 cups green beans (steamed)
2 cups (cooked) brown rice

*****WORKOUT*****

Man, thats a pretty solid looking diet plan.

one crituqe would be meal 3, thats a pretty heavy meal to have before a workout, make sure if you keep to that to have meal 3 about 2 hrs before your workout. Might even switch meal 5 and meal 3 around. ;)

Re: Some feedback on this diet pls??

I know!!...I was shocked to see how many cals are in brown rice. I mainly added that in to allow for higher daily carbs. But I have been having that mean about 2 hours or so befor a workout and it is fine...no sick feeling.

But I will defanatly try switching up meal 3 and 5 like you said....why didn't i see that befor? :P

thx for the feedback bigol

Re: Some feedback on this diet pls??

that is a pretty solid diet plan.

are you sure 2500 is maintenance for you though?? how old are you? i would think at your height/weight you'd be a few hundred calories higher. roughly 2500 would be maintenance if you were completely sedentary, according to the Harris Benedict Equation (which i know isn't perfect, but it's pretty decent).

if you were truly looking to bulk, i would up the cals just a little more, especially since you'll be on cycle.

overall a very solid plan though, very well thought out.

hey cb,

I am 30 yrs old, and I have leared the HARD WAY that I put on weight if I eat over 2500 cals. I used that equation befor and it says I sould be somewhere around 2800-2900 cals.

I am a very very very easy gainer. I am not tooting my own horn when I say I am very big for my stature. All my measurements are comparable to a person a much taller than me. (18" arms, etc.....)

I don't know if you recall, I posted my first cycle here on IBB a while back (dbol/test enan) and I followed the benedict formula and added 700 cals to that amount for my diet. At the end of the 4 wks of dbol I was up 30 lbs but I gained a TON of fat. Got very discouraged to say the least.

I am hoping for a clean mass/cut cycle which is mainly why I chose tren/eq combo with the test.

I am presently at 13% bf (lowest i have ever been thx to my thermogenic mix I made) and would like to be ripped for once instead of BULKY. :D

ok, i'm glad to hear your experience -- just another example of why cookie-cutter diets and one-size fits all equations don't always work. (just wanted to toss it out there, in case ;) )

Cb at least your equation had rudofensis at a much better number. My equations for BMR say that rud should be at 1714 cals/day. Just shows I can't use my numbers for bodybuilding. I'm going to look into your equation sounds a little bit better then the one I've been using.

Rud I'm glad that you have been able to figure out what your body needs, you are a shinning example of what everyone should do. I'm not saying don't use the research just use it to your advantage.

Your diet looks very solid by the way. One word of caution, chicken gets old fast find some sort of spice or marinade that will make it more tolerable or you'll begin to hate it. IMO.

great advice. especially about chicken becoming tiresome. hot sauce can become your best friend whilst dieting :)

and littleguy, i have an excel file that calculates everything for you -- you type in your own stats, and it gives you maintenance, cutting and bulking cals -- was put together by "Elliot" over at AR (though i think he was a member here as well). if you want it, PM me an email addy for me to send to.

I hear ya about the chicken, i have turned to slapping it on the good ol' BBQ.

Now I actually look forward to eating it. Unlike the tuna however, which gives me dry heaves just thinking obout it. I used to love tuna, but 2 cans a day for 12-15 wks will fix that idea.... :surrender:

Re: Some feedback on this diet pls??

im the way with oatmeal that you are with tuna.. i cant stomach it for to long anymore... i have to switch to grits, or a 5 grain oat mix, it has a nice taste.

oatmeal and eggs = PUKE!! lol

Just a funny story to throw out there for ya.. Had my normal 2 cups oatmeal and 10egg white 2 yolks... took my multi-vit (animal pak) and gagged on the multi's (1gram pills will do that to ya), well anyway.. the oats and eggs and pills came back up...

and then i grumbled cause i had to cook and eat again... LOL
