NPC Jr. Nationals?

From what i understand, to compete in the JR. Nationals i need to compete in a competition to qualify for that? Since I'm here in Las Vegas, I'm looking at either the competition in reno, or one in Culver City CA.

Can anyone who has any knowledge of the NPC, or ever competed in it help me out and shed some light on things. I'm just trying to find out everything humanly possible so that i can have everything in order.

I'm looking to compete either next summer or the year after, and shoot for my pro card just after that.

what r your questions bro? if i remember correctly this would be your first show? no yes u need to hit a qualifier before u can go to a national stage,, but the is also junior usa's n some other u can hit to warm up to nationals but need to still qualify

how do i find out exactly what shows i can do to qualify? im trying to make sure that they are during the summer and on the west coast (unless they are in PA during the summer, cause i wouldnt mind doing a qualifier back home)

theres alot in p.a,Delaware, new jersey;),, hit the npc banner in the bodybuilding section n check it out,, u gonna go in as a open or a novice?

novice would make the most sense considering that i've never competed before. but i don't think that i can qualify for JR. Nat's if i enter the novice class, can i?

once u qualify like gymdiva said its good for 2 years so it doesint matter how u qualified

i can qualify for the nationals in the novice class though?

no but if u go in a novice n the show allows crossovers u can do novice class n open but once u do a open u cant go back to novice

the shows im coming up with are (based off the 2007 schedule, I'm assuming the dates don't vary by much year to year):

5/12 - Mid Atlantic Natural Classic - North Brunswick, NJ
5/19 - Philadelphia Bodybuilding - Philadelphia, PA
5/26 - Lehigh Valley Bodybuilding and Fitness - Bethlehem, PA
5/26 - California State Bodybuilding - Culver City, CA
6/9 - Nevada State Bodybuiding, Fitness, and Figure - Reno, NV
6/30 - Garden State Classic - Bloomfield, NJ
6/30 - Oregon State Bodybuilding - Portland, OR
7/21 - Los Angeles Bodybuilding - Culver, CA
7/21 - XCalibur Bodybuilding and Figure - Bridgewater, NJ
8/25 - Pennsylvania State Bodybuilding - Cannonsburg PA


these are roughly the dates and places of the shows that i am considering... Not too sure about the NJ shows, because i dont know anyone in NJ. I have a very close female friend who lives in oregon and would love to see this, so that one wouldnt be an issue. the PA ones are possible since i used to live in allentown. and the CA ones are possible cause a buddy of mine lives close.

how do i find out if the show allows the crossover?

also, how do i determine what weight class to shoot for?
