tjb035 if your wanting to do heavy negtatives for strength development or to get past a sticking point, I would do them at the begining, as everone else says CNS is fresh, also I don't care who you are, you try and do "heavy" negatives at the end of a workout, they aint gunna be very heavy,its that simple.
You will either pickup lighter weight cuz you feel totalled, or because you physcially can't handle "heavy".

I have trained friends with this technique who have had stuborn biceps and it really helped, I would give them the bar at the top of the curl and they would slowly lower the weight and then I would bring the bar back upto top position and start again, do this for 2-3 sets of 6-9 reps, after bout 2-3 months you will notice good strength improvement.
