steroids and sport

It is quite obvious to people who have trained for more then 5+ years that most people who compete in sport at the elite level will be using steroids, i.e. training 5-6 hours 7 days a week it common place for a olympic athlete.
My problem is I think that training on gear has its place, but actualy competing on gear is unexactable.
As tests for steroids only prove they have used them, but don't realy prove that they are on them when they compete, which is why people get caught with deca, as it stays around for 12 months after last injection.

I have no problem with people using gear, just not whilst thier in the actual competition, I think that does gave a unfair advantage.
I think and I might be wrong, that its probably scares most athletes to take gear whilst competing, but for those few individuals who are big risk takers, they will end up doing better, I feel this is quite unfair.
