If the pain you are referring to is similar to shin splints on the back of your forearms then that is the tendon pulling away from the bone. It is common with guys that do alot of preacher curls. Do not let your wrists bend when performing the lift, if you do you are only stretching the tendon more.

I would suggest leaving that lift alone for a few weeks and then ease back in to it, if you keep doing the same thing then you know the story. You've just inflamed the tendon a bit, it will diminish with time off.
