I have similar tendonitis in both shoulders from 18 years of slowly wearing them out.
Stretching the pecs will help as over time the fibers shorten and bring the front delt into a internally rotated position where they take on more of the load.
Also the external rotation exercises for the RC will make a HUGE difference- they look ghey but they improve shoulder stability and function a helluva lot.
ICE the area where you feel the inflammation to reduce the swelling, also I would suggest more dumbell work and less barbell for a time as it puts the shoulders in a less internally rotated position when pressing and works with the shoulder girdles natural range of motion.
Joint sups- glucosamine, MSM, bromelaine, boswellia, turmeric, Vit c, Cissus all will help assist in healing of the connective tissues. |
