Creatine comes full circle

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Funny how things come full circle? Over 15 years now since we saw the emergence of creatine monohydrate. Still the ONLY supplement proven to actually increase muscle mass and improve athletic performance. With all the scientific bullshit studies on nitric oxide krap plamsa expanders, and crazy sub fractions of creatines, and funky form of amino acids, creatine monohydrate is the only true muscle building supplement. Thus what happen from then up until now you had supplement companies trying to make better forms of creatine so that they could say they have the BEST creatine supplement of course. Why? After creatine hit the scene and people realized how good it actually worked and demand went up, competition increased among the supplement companies. The cost of creatine when it first came out was high, I think I remember paying about $40.00 for 100 grams. Then by the time it was all said and done you could buy 1000 grams for like $15 bucks. Thus the supplement company’s profits went down to nil’. So they had a choice to make, ahhh let’s make a better form of creatine. Thus you had the start of the creatine spin-off’s. Everyone knows what they are so I’m not going to waste time. What I am going to do it get right to the point.

As you know the Proteinfactory.com sells protein. If I could get one thing across to my customers is the fact that I WANT you to know where I buy m protein from. I want you to know where it comes from. Thus I make it a point to brag about where I get it from. CFM from Glanbia, PeptoPro from DSM, caseinate from Australia. These are just a few examples. The whole point is so you know the quality of protein you are getting. Now lets switch gears and move on over to creatine monohydrate.

FACT: creatine monohydrate is now made in only two countries in the world. GERMANY and CHINA. Have your choice! Take a quick guess as to who has the highest quality. No seriously, this is the whole point of this article. Not really to have a debate on creatine monohydrate vs. creatine malic acid fumic ethyl ster, but to get the point across the origin of the creatine monohydrate is EXTREMELY important. Why? Because your health is at risk!!!

Here is something that I am pretty sure none of you know about. Why? Because #1 the supplement magazine aren’t going to tell you and #2 Leave it to the Proteinfactory to provide you with this kind of information. Creatine Monohydrate is sourced from two different chemicals. The first is Sodium Sarcosinate. Sodium Sarcosinate, acid, and cyanamide are brought together to form a reaction, then they go through a process of separation, washing, and drying. Then bingo out pops creatine monohydrate. This creatine monohydrate is the purest creatine monohydrate made. How do I know this? This type of creatine process is PATENTED world wide by (even has a CHINA patent) and goes by the name of CREAPURE. No other company in the world can use Sodium Sarcosinate to make creatine monohydrate.

The OTHER chemical that is used to make ALL OTHER (this is important) ALL OTHER creatines, and I don’t care what type of creatine it is ALL OTHER creatines is a chemical called thiourea. Thiourea is bad stuff. Making creatine monohydrate by using thiourea is actually patented by a CHINESE company. “The majority of Chinese creatine is manufactured according to a patented process (U.S. patent 6,326,513) that is very low-cost, but for which large quantities of thiourea are used. There is a considerable risk that this creatine could be contaminated with thiourea. Ingested thiourea is extremely harmful to health and is considered carcinogenic. For example, it is on the list of substances that are not allowed to be put in cosmetic products. It is forbidden to use Chinese creatine for cosmetic products. But creatine from China has not been banned as a dietary supplement. (Consumer Protection)”
Not good huh?. To nuts with all the other creatine monohydrates out there. And to debate which one WORKS better in my book is pointless. Why? Because there is not a chance in hell that I am going to be using a creatine monohydrate from CHINA. I don’t know about you but I’m 35 years old and my health is important to me. I don’t touch anything made in CHINA and that includes Prohormones.
Thus taking a look at a lot of these preworkout supplements, nitric oxide supplements, and many other crazy supplements that I don’t even know how to categorize many of them contain some form of crazy creatine monohydrate or another. And unfortunately they all come from CHINA.
Now that I made it a point that you should really only use CREAPURE creatine, I want to address one final thing. Last week I met with a rep from CREAPURE and discussed the claim that creatine monohydrate instantly begins to convert to creatinine when added to water. “Horseshit”, say the blonde Swedish lady from creapure. This is completely not true when using CREAPURE, maybe with CHINESE creatine, but not ours. Here’s a link with some stability studies.

creapure.com - creatine ingredients

Next week I will be continuing with part II. What’s the deal with all these other types of creatine and why they suck balls!!
