Re: The best Trojan, virus protection program?

Once you get one it can be a biatch to get rid of. Best bet is to prevent the infection.

I have been "playing" with pcs for the past 12 years or so and am usually able to get just about any problem resolved eventually. I spent 3 days dicking with my wife's laptop and finally just backed up her essential files and formatted. I tried AVG, Trendmicro, Norton, adaware, spybot, hijackthis, and a slew of other programs intended to get rid of specific malware. I was ready to throw the damn thing through the sliding glass door cause the malware caused the laptop to run SOOOO slow. Took forever to to anything.

Good luck getting rid of it.

BTW...she had Norton AV installed and now has AVG which I think is a muchbetter program and I use it on several other PCs in the house. He laptop came with Norton so we just kept renewing...Not no more.
