I have a lot of Libertarian beliefs and like Ron Paul. The problem is the radicals in the anti-war movement have flocked to his campaign, and the media is linking Ron Paul with these radicals. When the general public thinks of Paul, they think - "that's the Republican who want to pull out of Iraq" and not the fact that he's a fiscal conservative and believes the War on Drugs has been ineffective.
I know a few of you have mentioned his ability to raise funds via the Internet. Usually if a candidate sees campaign contributions of this magnitude, it would translate to an increase in the polls. That hasn't been the case with Paul for some reason. |
